Mark and I are setting off from Lands’ End point as day breaks on the 13th July and will arrive at John O’Groats just 7 days later on Friday 19th July. We are cycling up to 220 kilometers a day and will be unsupported.

Everything from our own spares, clothes, tools, and food will be carried with us. It is an epic challenge that will require extraordinary levels of fortitude and endurance in order to complete. We are in charge of our own destiny.

In this current economic climate, the reality is that charities are being pressed to provide more for less, and budgets are squeezed so tightly there would be little chance of providing additional resources, activities, equipment and support if they didn’t receive your support and fund-raise continuously throughout the year.

I am raising awareness for the Together Trust, a charity that provides care, education and support for children and adults with learning and physical disabilities, autism and emotional needs. Every year they help
over 3,700 vulnerable young people and adults to overcome very significant barriers.

Funds raised help provide extra support in so many ways from providing much needed sensory equipment for children with disabilities,
respite breaks for fostering families, to confidence building outdoor activities for teenagers who have experienced abuse or trauma.

With your help, they can provide specialist equipment, extra activities and opportunities, additional therapeutic and family support to help them overcome the challenges they face on a daily basis and to achieve their full potential. We can make a difference to some of the most vulnerable people in society.

Real differences for real lives.
