Mount Snowdon (LivISOC Charity Week 2013) · 3 November 2013

Together with local partners and country offices, we’re working in the world’s poorest countries to tackle the root causes of poverty and respond in emergencies, disasters and conflicts.

Story

I will InshallAllah be climbing Mount Snowdon, the largest mountain in England and Wales, I am part of the University of Liverpool Islamic Society and we will be working on behalf of Muslim Hands (Reg No. 1105056), a U.K based charity who are raising money for a much needed Bread factory in Aleppo, Syria.

It costs approximately £467 per day to run this Bread factory with a monthly running cost of around £14,000. This Bread factory produces 6,000 loaves per day, which are delivered by volunteers to 1,500 needy and poor families. This amounts to around 7,500 individuals being fed on a daily basis.
We are pledging to raise money to run this bread factory for a whole month, thus aiming to raise £14,000. This is a lifesaving cause for a country under severe humanitarian need
