Introducing The Bike Cave Challenge
THE BIKE CAVE – ON Y’AIR
BIKE COMMUNITY CHALLENGE
12450 Miles Pole to
Pole
All proceeds in aid of
the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Do you
Ride?
Are you
one of those people puts your bike in the garage as soon as the weather turns?
Well, in support
of the amazing crews at the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, who don’t have that luxury
and are literally out in all weathers saving lives; here at the Bike Cave we
have come up with a spectacular challenge for this December that you can take
part in.
From the
1st to the 22nd December, we are looking for a minimum of
167 participants to pledge to complete one of our four tiers of challenges.
TIER 1 150MILES IN 3
WEEKS
TIER 2 100 MILES IN 3
WEEKS
TIER 3 60 MILES IN 3
WEEKS
TIER 4 30 MILES IN 3
WEEKS
There are
a select number needed for each group with one main aim, a Collective mileage
of 12,450 miles-the distance from North Pole to the South Pole.
We are
not capping the number of participants, the more the merrier, as we can smash
the target and really show the air ambulance crews how much we care for them.
We are
asking seven main things:
- That people who sign up
are able to complete the chosen mileage and have the ability to track their
mileage using a form of tracker such as Strava or Edmondo. - To have someone who can independently
verify the mileage for each ride. - To sign up to Just Giving and join
our team (www.justgiving.com/teams/onyairbike) to collect sponsorship for the challenge within your chosen tier - When setting up your own Just Giving
site please put the mileage you wish to undertake in the title of your page. - If you do not have access to Just Giving,
you can collect sponsorship forms from the Bike Cave in Driffield and we will
collect the money from you before the 24th December and pay to the
charity on your behalf. - To be available to
contact us upon completion in one of the following ways FB event page,
Messenger, Email; thebikecave@hotmail.com
and/or phone (01377)323736 with details of your total mileage and amount raised.
We wish to announce the results on the 24th December, Christmas Eve
for a really positive start to Christmas. - Most importantly ride
safely and enjoy yourselves.
