Hello and thanks for stopping by!

Fancy seeing me look utterly ridiculous by shaving my hair to baldness (yes, that includes the beard too!)? Then just donate what you can before the 14th of February and that is precisely what will happen! To top it all off, that week I will be performing on stage, potentially in front of hundreds of people over several nights: in other words I will not be able to hide!

Note: Due to incredible support from a few people the original target has basically been reached already (Thanks guys!) So, as suggested by DUCK the overall "target" has been raised... however I should note that the shaving will take place regardless now, let's just try and raise as much money as possible for this cause!

If you would like to know more please watch the video on this page or read on below:

On the 16th-18th of February I will be acting in a production of Terry Pratchett's "Night Watch" at the Assembly Rooms, Durham (Night Watch Info). This is the third year I'll have the pleasure of being part of a Terry Pratchett play with Durham's Ooook! Productions and I feel it's about time I gave something back.

As with all shows by Ooook! Productions, any profit from "Night Watch" will be donated directly to The Orangutan Foundation, a charity that is doing fantastic work in Indonesian Borneo to protect one of the few Great Apes left on our planet.

In 2006 I was lucky enough to go out to Borneo and work alongside local communities and conservation workers at various places around northern Borneo. During my time in this amazing country I saw first hand the level of habitat destruction and urban encroachment that so threatens the dwindling population of wild orangutans; yet at the same time was incredibly lucky in having a large, solitary male swing through our camp whilst working in the forest (photo shown). The size of these apes is astounding yet they move through the canopy with an almost lazy grace that I found almost hypnotic to watch. Orangutans are truly awesome animals and I believe that future generations should be able to have the oppertunity to experience what I saw that day.

So please donate to this fantastic charity; doing so is incredibly quick and easy. Plus, let's not forget the whole going bald thing!
