An update and a big thank you from me (Glynne Greenough) to everyone for your donations!   

Just a week ago, I completed the Ironman Triathlon World Championship race in Hawaii.  Definitely not my best race – I confess I found it very hard work this time even with my best supporter and husband Keith cheering for me.  However, it really is insignificant compared with the effort that the poor men and women of Malawi go through every day to become financially independent and provide for their families in the face of severe poverty.  Your contributions to the charity Opportunity International will be helping enormously and I’d like to thank you very much for your kindness and generosity.  Keith and the Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches also send you their sincere thanks for giving the enterprising poor of Malawi a hand up to success!

Opportunity International help people in developing countries to transform their lives by providing them with small loans, secure savings and financial education and training. We are leaving this 'JustGiving' site open for a while longer in the hope of receiving a few more contributions to this excellent charity.
