This Easter I had the oppurtunity of joining ORBIS, a non-profit organisation devoted to preventing blindness in developing countries during their visit to Da Nang in Vietnam. They provide assistance by working with the local trainee doctors to establish affordable and sustainable eye care. They educate the doctors through programmes such as their Flying Eye Hospital, hands on training in local hospitals and Cyber-Sight, an online resource which allows the local doctors to consult with the ORBIS doctors.

The trip gave me a further insight into the importance of charity and I am grateful that the ACS Foundation made it possible for me to go on this trip.
