GRIM Challenge · 2 December 2017

The UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, we've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, we provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

Story

Hello!

We are Emma, Matt, Elizabeth and Ben and we're running the GRIM Challenge for Combat Stress.

It's an eight mile mud and bog run in Aldershot that will test the fittest amongst us (Ben and Elizabeth) and make others of us (Matt and Emma) cry muddy tears.

We're doing it as part of a corporate challenge, and BAE Systems will match, pound-for-pound, all the funds that the team collectively raise on the run so please show your support.

BAE Systems has a long history of supporting Combat Stress with £150,000 of company donations since 2013, as well as many instances of employee fundraising and volunteering activity.

Why are we doing it?

For more than a century the charity has been helping service men and women deal with trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as raising awareness of the fact that not all injuries can be seen.

In our team we've seen first hand the positive impact this charity has had in helping a veteran cope with PTSD, and we know from the people we work with every day just how vital its services are.

We'd love it if we could help raise a tonne of cash for Combat Stress, and for that we need you! Please give generously.
