OCHRE works to raise awareness of oesophageal cancer, a hard to treat, less survivable cancer. We fund research to support better outcomes. We work with health services and policy makers to improve understanding of the dangers of heartburn and the need for earlier diagnosis which can save lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I (along with a little help from my friends) am raising money for OCHRE, the Oesophageal Cancer Charity. Oesophageal Cancer is now the 4th highest cancer killer in the UK, yet it is relatively unknown. It is a silent killer with a poor survival rate, often there are no symptoms until cancer is advanced. There is little understanding of this difficult cancer or how to treat it, and this is not good enough. It is a cruel & devastating disease and it doesn't care who it hits. I speak from experience when I say you do not want to have to watch someone you love battle it. OCHRE not only raise awareness of this disease, but also provide valuable research & funding into treatment and early detection.

This charity desperately needs your support.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
