My story

 

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

 

As you are aware last year was an extremely difficult year for me and my family and the events of last year have left me with a dysfunctional Pituitary Gland.

Which doesn't sound like much but the Pituitary Gland is an important gland and it is often referred to as the 'master gland', because it controls several of the other hormone glands. It is usually about the size of a pea. Mine does not produce any hormones and therefore I have to replace them every morning, afternoon and night.

 

Hormones make us the people we are, and it is hard to come to terms with not being who you were.

 

The Pituitary Foundation has been very supportive to me and my family through these hard times and this is why I am supporting them every step of the way with this fundraising walk. I am walking 6 miles with others to celebrate the foundations 15 year anniversary on the 26th September.

 

I know this is a pain in the arse but please sponsor me for this walk, and I promise it will make a difference to others like myself and for this I am very grateful.
