At PeacePlayers International - Northern Ireland we use sport - in particular the game of basketball - to build bridges between children and young adults who live in divided communities. Our programmes are based on the belief that children who play together can learn to live together.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page!

Staff, local coaches, board members and friends of PeacePlayers International - Northern Ireland are relay-running the Belfast City Marathon to raise money for the charity's cross-community programmes.

PPI-NI’s efforts in Northern Ireland, as it is at all of the PeacePlayers sites around the world, are based on the premise that children who play together can learn to live together. Since 2002, PPI-NI has successfully used the game of basketball to confront sectarianism and foster mutual respect and tolerance by providing a safe space for Catholic and Protestant children to play together.

A vital element of PPI-NI’s programming is our ability to provide coaching, venues, sports equipment, and transportation to our participants free of charge, and we need your help!
