In July 2011 31 Squadron will deploy to Afghanistan in support of our ground troops. As a Squadron we would like to do more for them. In order to achieve this we will be running, cycling or rowing, a distance of 31000 miles, aiming to raise 31,000 pounds for Help for Heroes and tickets for troops.co.uk. This is a difficult but achievable goal and will be undertaken whilst we are serving our country on Operations. Your support, as always, is greatly appreciated. As a personal goal I plan to cycle on a static bike 3100 Km on my own, This is a tough feat to achieve considering the conditions I will have to contend with; The searing heat, the altitude (its quite a bit higher than Norfolk @ 3331 feet), the long working hours with hardly any time off, to name but a few. I will keep you updated with my progress and with your help, it will keep me going.
