<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p>I have decided to do this run to raise money and awareness for Mesothelioma UK. Mesothelioma is an asbestos related cancer, of which, at present, there is no cure. Around 2000 people are diagnosed every year, yet not many people are aware of it.</p> <p>My girlfriends dad, Bob, was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in July 2010. After going through chemotherapy and still making it to the pub in the evening,&nbsp;Bob was told that the cancer was growing again, although very slowly,&nbsp;and that&nbsp;he would need more chemo. Bob is determined to get through this next lot of chemo with the determination and positivity he showed with the last lot. That and a few pints of Holts' bitter!!!</p> <p>There are a few clinical trials going on at the moment and Bob's doctor is hopeful that he may be able to take part in one of them.&nbsp;&nbsp;Withouit charities like Mesothelioma UK, these clinical trial's would not exist and the help and support that they offer the families of those affected would not be available.&nbsp;</p> <p>Mesothelioma UK is a national resource centre dedicated to providing specialist Mesothelioma information and support whilst&nbsp;improving care and treatment.</p> <p>Please help me to raise funds for this great cause.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
