Story
<p>Last year I sat for hours with my very close friends as their daughter fought for her life after a servere head trauma. Thanks to the Surgeons and staff at the Birmingham Childrens Hospital she made a fully and speedy recovery.</p>
<p>The whole ordeal left me with a need to give something back, so now that the hospital have launched their appeal to raise money for a new heart unit I have decided to set myself a challenge!</p>
<p>So, April 17th - 24th, 2011, I will be setting off from Norway with a handful of other individuals, with just a team of dogs each, a tent and some basic kit, we will travel over the rolling highlands and through deep forests into Sweden. We will be required to set up camp each night, tend for our dogs and to cook food on a camping stove, all in temperatures as low as -20</p>

<p>For those of you who have had the pleasure of sharing a dugout with me during the winter months, will know how much I hate the cold!!</p>
<p>The Trust needs to raise 2 million pound towards the unit, so please help me raise and maybe even exceed my target of £6000 by sponsoring me.</p>

<p>Thanks to everyone who attended the Peek a Boo Club at the Hare and Hound on the 3rd of Sept. It was a great success and resulted in us raising £1000 for the appeal!!!</p>
