2016 marks the 10th anniversary of the Centre for Clinical Haematology, one of the leading centres in the world for the development of new drug and transplant treatments for patients with blood cancers.
Leukaemia is a cancer of the blood that usually begins in the bone marrow. It can affect anyone at any age, and Cure Leukaemia has been fighting back for more than ten years. Around 12,000 people die from blood cancers in Britain each year. The prospect of survival for many adults with the disease is still less than 50%, which is exactly why raising this money is so vital.
The three of us, along with approximately 23 others from Brooks Macdonald, are looking to complete the 478km (297 miles) ride from London to Paris. We will be covering 100-135km (62-84 miles) a day for four days, finishing with a ride up the cobbles to the Arc de Triomphe.
