Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

In october 2011 my gramps was diagnosed with liver cancer. This was a devastating blow for both him and the family as he had never been ill before. He was a fit man who enjoyed trips to his caravan and going to the football to watch his team st mirren. A family orientated man who enjoyed life to the full. His deterioration was extremely quick and on the 19th of january 2012, he sadly passed away. During this difficult time, mcmillian nurses supported both my grampa and my gran throughout. When he needed anything, they made sure he had it. they did everything in their power to make him comfortable. These nurses are fantastic and the job they do is invaluable. Which is why we have decided to run The Edinburgh Half Marathon and we would like to raise as much money as possible, so that they can carry on supporting other families who are experiencing/or know someone who is suffering from this horrendous illness.
