<p>June 11th. A team of seven will take on the hardest and toughest endurance event in North Yorkshire.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">The Knaresborough Bed Race</span></strong></p>

<p>Our team comprising six runners and one passenger, with our decorated 'bed' will parade through the town. Then, once the beds <span style="color: #000000;">have been stripped of their non-essential decorations, we will compete to push the bed on a combination race/time trial through the town. The climax of the race comes when the teams must <span style="text-decoration: underline;">cross the River Nidd</span><span style="color: #333333;"><span style="color: #0645ad;"> </span></span>and climb a steep muddy bank to reach the finish line.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">The theme is British military history, so we will attempt to do all this dressed as <strong>Crusaders...</strong></span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">Our target between the 7 of us is to raise £1000. This will combine with fundraising from other events to hit a target of £15,000 over the year for our charity of choice:</span></p>

<p><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="color: #000000;"> </span></span>Our aim is to raise funds to support individuals, groups and schools in their requests for equipment, holidays and tuition and to provide essential care for children with special needs in the local area. This also includes assisting very talented children who are finding it difficult to reach their true potential without support.</p>
