On 21st October this year, 12 members of the Band of The Parachute Regiment will be taking part in the 'PARA's 10' in Colchester. This is a 10 mile TAB (marching and running) endurance event based on one of the tests used in The Parachute Regiment's selection process, 'P Company'. Three teams of four from the band aim to complete the course in under 1 hour 50 minutes (the time set for completion of the course during P Company), carrying a 35lb bergan (rucksack) and wearing boots. 

Musicians normally carry 25lbs, and have 2 hours in which to complete an 8 mile course, so the PARA's 10 will certainly be a challenge!
