Story

This year, Parlé Productions are fundraising for the charity SpecialEffect, which aims to make gaming accessible for young people with disabilities.

Gaming is a big part of our groups life, and we, like many others out there, take for granted just how easy it is for us to use a mouse, a keyboard, or a console controller. Since being introduced to the work done by SpecialEffect, we realised just how privilaged we truely are to find these tasks so easy. SpecialEffect work to make gaming accessible for everyone, no matter what obstacles might be in their way.

Kelly, Jenn, and others will be taking part in a 24-Hour Gaming Marathon starting on 6th April 2012, in which one of them will be at the PC (or, as back-ups, the Xbox and Nintendo DS) at all times, gaming for a total of at least 24 consecutive hours between them. Together, we hope to aim at least £1,000 in this fundraising effort.

Other Parlé members will be involved by monitoring our live streaming of the event and moderating the chat room, where people can come and support the gang in this task. You may even get the chance to game with them as they work towards their 24-hour minimum goal! Parts of this event will also be filmed, to go on YouTube.

Please support us, and donate!
