Story
Update - Thank you so much for supporting this cause. It was an interesting day full of anticipation, terror, exhilaration and relief. When in the plane, 2 miles up in the air, shuffling towards the door I was beginning to wonder what the heck I had got myself into, but I didn't have long to ponder before being thrust outside. Being strapped to a Steve Redgrave lookalike certainly took some of the pain away. So all in all, a good day.
Thanks again for your support and helping me raise such a huge amount of money for this charity.

Working in an environment that brings me into contact with people from the services has made me appreciate just how much they do for us. In return I would like to go a small way to help them by supporting this fantastic charity which aims to restore the spirit of injured servicemen, particularly amputees, through adventure and investing in the advancement of prosthetic limbs.
On the 19th July 2014 I shall be throwing myself out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft at 13,500 thousand feet, free-falling for a minute and then, hopefully, landing safely if not gracefully. I'm not too sure why I said I'd do it, other than it seemed like a good idea at the time. It should be a spectacular sight on the day as there will be literally hundreds of people doing the same thing which I hope will raise lots of money for this worthwhile cause.
Please help me achieve my target. I am covering all expenses so every penny you donate will go straight to the charity.
Thanks!
Pat
