hi my name is charlie, i am a member of the raob and have been an active member of my lodge for many years, the queens royal lodge based in Guildford, my home town, raising money for good causes and charities thoughout those years, it is my turn in the chair this year, which gives me the right to choose a charity that i feel would benefit gratefully throughout the year that i am in the chair, so i have chosen cherry trees, a local charity which helps, disabled children, last year the lodge raised over £11k for the samson centre which deals with m/s, for which in the time of recession was just amazing, this year we hope to do better, so i have set quite a hard target, which will need the support of many, but i feel that the heart of the community will once again shine though, and support, not only the children, but the amazing staff that do such a demanding job and still smile, we have many events lined up to entertain you, the buffs annual poker charity shield, shows, fathers day fete plus many events that will give you a great day/night out while raising money for this worthwhile cause...so watch this space for more information and please, please give your support...charlie
