In the UK: Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. 35,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer every year. One man dies every hour of prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is the UK’s leading charity working with people affected by prostate cancer. We fund research, provide support and information, and we campaign to improve the lives of men with prostate cancer. We provide the only UK-wide prostate cancer Helpline staffed by prostate cancer specialist nurses. Our nurses offer free and confidential information and support to anyone affected by prostate cancer. The Prostate Cancer Charity is working towards a world where lives are no longer limited by prostate cancer. The Charity is fighting prostate cancer on every front - through research, support, information and campaigning.

My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page . I will be running the London Marathon on Sunday April 22nd 2007 and raising money for The Prostate Cancer Charity. As some of you may know, my Dad passed away in 2003 soon after being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, so this is a cause that is very important to me.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Prostate Cancer Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Incidentally, it will be my 3rd London Marathon, and if (?) I can finish it in under 4 hours, I may make this the last one! Support on marathon day itself out on the course is also most welcome - you can get more info about the race /route at http://www.london-marathon.co.uk/.
