As many of you know my family is very important to me and having spent a number of years dedicated to supporting my children through medical and learning challenges I feel now is the time to step outside my comfort zone and show them what we can all achieve if we apply ourselves. For me this is about pushing myself and making a difference to others.

I have been fortunate to be picked as part of a team of 30 IBI employees who, this year, are raising as much money as possible for Save the Children. This charity is dedicated to making more children feel safe everyday and go on to reach their full potential - something which we often take for granted.

As part of the fundraising I will be joining my colleagues for a life changing challenge of sailing across the Atlantic Ocean in the ARC Transatlantic race in November, sailing 2,700 miles from Gran Canaria.
