Dreamflight ( http://www.dreamflight.org ) was conceived 27 years ago by 2 British Airways Crew with a vision. A vision to make a difference, a vision to bring joy, laughter and happiness via a Holiday to the faces and the lives of those children who for whatever reason, may never have the opportunity to do so again. Where better for this to take place than Disney World Florida, where, every October, for 10 days, 192 children from all over the UK (and beyond) are treated to an incredible holiday of a lifetime. Naturally this takes a lot of money, but with your help we can bring this to reality for another year. 

I was invited by the organizer of the trek to join this incredible challenge for 2014. After flying to Narita as part of an operating crew, we will grab a few hours sleep before setting off for Mount Fuji by bus. On arrival at Fuji we aim to start our ascent on the night of the 24th Aug to arrive at the summit of mount Fuji by sunrise of the 25th. We will be Trekking for 5-7 hrs through the night, our path lit only by our head lights. 

After our celebration at the summit (12,388 feet) we have another 3 hrs trek down the mountain, where we will be taken to a Japanese hot bath (onsen) to soothe our aching muscles.
