Story

<p class="MsoNoSpacing">In October 2012, myself and an intrepid group of adventurers will set out to climb the World&rsquo;s highest freestanding mountain, and Africa&rsquo;s highest peak. At 5895m Kilimanjaro&rsquo;s Uhuru Peak stands well and truly above everything else in Africa and is our destination at the end of a 7 day climb</p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing">Not only is the climb hugely challenging due to the altitude, terrain and arctic temperatures above 16400ft, but the threat of acute altitude sickness is real and we have to ensure that our whole team is in great shape to complete the challenge.</p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing">We hope that our challenge will inspire you to support me and in turn do something hugely meaningful for one very special lad - Archie Blomfield. Archie has Cerebral Palsy and an operation call Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy can make a massive difference to his life. To learn more about this very special lad, please visit; <a href="http://www.operationarchie.com">www.operationarchie.com</a> Your support and words of encouragement will go a long way to inspiring me in our quest to conquer the mountain!</p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing">Having completed some early stage altitude training so far, we all know this will be a huge challenge and we really need your words (and &pound;&rsquo;s!) of support to ensure we all make it..</p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing"><strong>Quick facts: -</strong></p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing"><strong> </strong><span style="text-indent: -18pt;">&middot;<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span></span><span style="text-indent: -18pt; font-family: Symbol;">&middot;<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span></span><span style="text-indent: -18pt;">World&rsquo;s Highest Freestanding Mountain</span></p> <p style="text-indent: -18pt; margin-left: 36pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;" class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">&middot;<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span></span>5895 m / 19341 ft</p> <p style="text-indent: -18pt; margin-left: 36pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;" class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">&middot;<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span></span>7 days</p> <p style="text-indent: -18pt; margin-left: 36pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;" class="MsoNoSpacing"><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;">&middot;<span style="font-size: 7pt;"> </span></span>8+ hours per day</p> <p style="text-indent: -18pt; margin-left: 36pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1;" class="MsoNoSpacing">Please dig deep and donate what you can.
