We’re your local hospice, supporting people with life-limiting illness across Cheshire West and Deeside. Our care is free, but only possible thanks to your support. We’re not part of the NHS and rely on local generosity to keep going. By donating, you ensure vital care lives on in your community.

Story

Things have changed since I last ran a Marathon - my waistline has expanded mostly and getting married at an all inclusive resort hasnt helped.

I was delighted to be offered a place in the Virgin London Marathon 2013 by the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. This is the Hospice that looked after my mum with such professionalism, compassion and empathy, that I am truly honoured to help raise money for them.

The Hospice exists to provide highly specialised palliative care for people living with advanced diseases such as Cancer.

Their services are provided free of charge to anyone in medical need. These include Medical, Nursing, Social and Emotional support for Patients and their families.

Their annual running costs are more than £6,300 each day! Can I raise enough to pay for all these great services for a day?

I dont know but I am going to give it a bloody good go....
