Honour the Memory of Freddy Pounds
My late Grandad Freddy Pounds: he was a beacon of light, a man whose laughter could light up a room and whose love and humour knew no bounds. With a heart as big as the Irish sky and a resilient spirit, he faced life's challenges with a smile that inspired us all. His unwavering strength, even in the face of Alzheimer's, showed us the true meaning of courage.
In his memory, I have partnered with The Alzheimer Society of Ireland to make a difference in the lives of those affected by this relentless disease. Every stride we take, every sweat-soaked mile, and every beat of our determined hearts will be a testament to Freddy’s spirit and a commitment to creating a world where Alzheimer's is just a memory.
But I can't do this alone.
I need you, your heart, your dedication, and your generosity. I invite you to join me on this journey – a journey that will not only challenge my physical limits but also elevate your soul. By running the Dublin Marathon in Freddy’s name, I am not just running a race; I am running towards hope, towards a future where Alzheimer's is no longer a source of pain and confusion.
Every euro we raise, every effort you exert, will be a tribute to the memory of Freddy Pounds and a lifeline for those living with Alzheimer's. Your support will fund vital research, provide much-needed support to families and caregivers, and help raise awareness about this devastating disease.
THANK YOU!!
