Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page. If you'd like to know why I am walking 100km over the May bank holiday weekend, read on. It would be fantastic if you would also sponsor me to support such a worthy cause.
My good friend Brian Corbin has suffered from Parkinson's for a number of years and is fighting back strongly - thanks to his own determination, the help of an amazing specialist nurse, and the support of his family and friends.
Brian was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2003. Anne Martin, his Parkinson’s Nurse at Kings College Hospital, became his friend and confidante, helped him understand his condition and worked with him to improve the quality of his life. Like all Parkinson's nurses, she is amazing. She has spent time with his family so they understand what he’s going through and she's made the management of his condition easier for everyone.
Parkinson's Nurses make living with this disease so much easier, but there are not enough nurses for everyone who needs one.
Brian is determined to do something about this by raising funds for Parkinson's UK and I've decided to join his team by walking from London to Brighton in support of a that good cause. That’s 100km or 60 miles plus in one go, hopefully taking around 20 hours.
