Story
Hello and welcome to my page-o-giving. Thanks for taking the time to come and have me coerce you into parting with some of your hard earned cash.
I am doing two events a month or so apart to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care for whom my Mum works as a Helper, doing home visits for terminally ill people and their families in Edinburgh. It is a wonderful charity that provides care for people with cancer at the end of their lives, giving them a choice of where and how they spend their final days.
The first of my challenges, on August 4th, is the Surrey 100. Its a bike ride, round Surrey, and its 100 miles. It roughly follows the route of the Olympic Road Race of 2012, inluding the legendary Box Hill.
Then, on September 14th, I will be doing the Scotland Coast to Coast. My buddy Dave and I will use foot, bicycle and canoe on road, track and loch to cross Scotland, from the east to the west coast, roughly following the line of the Great Glen. We think this will take us about 12 hours. Thats allowing a little time on route to have the odd cup of tea and cheese and pickle sandwich.
Donating through JustGiving is very simple, very fast and totally secure. Your money goes immediately to the charity and they wont spam you afterwards.
We are afeeling the pinch at the mo so even if its just a pound this will make all the difference. As we say in Scotland 'many a little makes a mickel'.
