Street Child World Cup began life in Durban, South Africa, to help street childen in the city and to challenge the brutal way they are often treated. The project brought teams of children from around the world to compete in Durban before the 2010 World Cup.

The competition will be replicated in Rio de Janeiro in 2014 when sixteen teams will come together to highlight the plight of children in Brazil, India, the Philippines, South Africa and elsewhere.

This is a great opportunity to make a real difference for street children everywhere, who deserve a future free from fear, neglect and abuse.
