Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi, my name is Patty and I have had issues with mental health. There, I’ve said it. One in four people have or will suffer from this debilitating illness, yet very few will feel able to seek help. Sadly this leads to too many sufferers taking the only option they think they have.
I feel privileged to have won a place in London marathon with the charity called MIND. It is a charity that’s very close to my heart due to my own experiences and those of people very close to me. Running is a huge therapy for me, it has turned my life around! So it seems so right to run the London marathon and raise money to help others. I do have a target to reach, apart from the 26.2 miles, and I really hope I can make it.
I know this is yet another plea for charity and most people are probably fed up of reading them, but I also know many people will relate to this issue, and I hope some of you will find time to make a donation to MIND to help so many people get the support they need and to stop this being such a taboo subject! Any donation big or small will be greatly appreciated so please donate.
