Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Two sunrises, two coasts, one wall.

It's that simple. A bunch of Barton runners are going to complete Hadrian's Wall, all 84 miles, in 24 hours. Well that's the plan.

At 3am on Saturday 25th June we will set off from Bowness-on-Solway, on the west coast of England and run/walk/crawl the 84 miles to reach Wallsend, Newcastle on the east coast of England by sunrise on Sunday 26th June.

This is not a relay - we are each going to complete the full 84 miles in one go, in one day.

As you may know, Lucy was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes last year. Any money I can raise through this will be donated to Diabetes UK and the Burton District Diabetes Branch. Both charities have been fantastic supporting Lucy, Maria and myself. Any money raised is used to support research into Diabetes and supporting families. It would be fantastic and gratefully received by the charity.

Many thanks for reading this.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
