Paul's Zipwire challenge · 16 August 2014

NeuroMuscular Centre (NMC) supports people and families affected by neuromuscular conditions. We offer physiotherapy, training & development, support & advice, young people’s support, and ConnectUp, our social programmes, all supporting the physical and emotional well-being of our community.

Story

Hi I 'm Paul and I have a condition called Muscular Dystrophy it's a progressive muscle wasting disease.  I have been involved with the Neuromuscular Centre for 15 years now, they been a lifeline to me, the centre has helped me through some very difficult times and without the support of the centre's physiotherapist's I am sure that I wouldn't be walking now.

I have longed to do something to raise money for the Neuromuscular Centre for a long time but due to my physical condition I have not been able to arrange anything until now.  I know a zip wire run dosen't sound that scary but this one definitely is, I am going to be launched from a platform right up in Snowdonia Mountains down a 1 mile long zip wire, if that is not scary enough then I will be going down the zip wire head first with my hands tied behind my back and should hit speeds of between 90 and 115 mph.

Well I actually did it on the 16th what a day, I have never been so scared, the speed I went do the wire was unbelievable, check out my video if you don't beleive me - thanks to everyone who sponsored me it is very much apreciated.
