Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page I created to raise funds as part of the Whizz-Kidz team for the 2013 London Marathon.
Whizz-Kidz is a UK-based non-profit organization formed in 1990 to help disabled children lead a more active, independent life by providing them with customized mobility equipment, wheelchair training, advice and life skills. In the UK, there are about 70,000 kids – mostly in low-income families – who are waiting for a wheelchair that fits their needs, and Whizz-Kidz helps fill that gap.
Last spring my college roommate and I ran the Boston Marathon with a fund-raising team for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Being part of an effort that has an impact far beyond the race itself added an extra dimension to the marathon experience and led us to join the Whizz-Kidz team for London in 2013.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. (Please note that Whizz-Kidz is not a 501(C)3 organization, and contributions by a U.S. taxpayer will not give rise to a charitable deduction.)
Your contribution is much appreciated.
Thank you,
Paul
