Story
After running the London Marathon last year in just over 4 hours, this year I am going to be taking significantly longer as I will be walking a Marathon.
The route will be from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, ending in Richmond next to the River Thames. We will set off at around 8am with the aim to finish around 5pm.
A colleague has been diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer and given as little as two years to live. I am delighted to say that he has to date defied his earliest prognosis and is still running ultramarathons, inspiring others to enjoy life to the full whilst raising funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.
To support the cause and ensure that children of today never have to deal with this indiscriminate disease I, with 60 colleagues, am walking a marathon on 19th May to raise funds for this important charity.
