<p>In September 2012 I reach a significant birthday.</p> <p>To prove to myself I'm not dead, I'll be cycling the 1000+ miles between Lands End and John O'Groats.&nbsp; I've not worked out the full schedule yet, but I'm looking at 8-9 days on the road, and I'm confident it will hurt.&nbsp; At the end, there will be a party. With beer.</p> <p>I've decided to raise money for War on Want.&nbsp; Read about the charity here <a href="http://www.waronwant.org/">http://www.waronwant.org/</a></p> <p>I'll be blogging as I go, and Sunny at <a href="http://www.liberalconspiracy.org">www.liberalconspiracy.org</a> has promised me a daily slot.&nbsp; I'll be focusing less on the pain - though I'm sure it'll get a mention - and more on why War on Want needs to do what it does, and working through some of the big issues to do with global economic justice and solution.
