BMF 100k Challenge · 1 January 2013

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

Every year, over 225,000 sick children from across the UK are treated at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Many face incredibly difficult circumstances.  Their stories of courage, determination and hope are truly amazing.

The charity's arm raises £3m each year to create modern and child-friendly environments; purchase state of the art medical equipment and fund research into the prevention and treatment of childhood illnesses.

They cannot do this without your help. By supporting Birmingham Children’s Hospital you will be making a real difference to the lives of thousands of children and families, when they need it most.

So throughout 2013 I will be taking on the Challenge of completing at least 100k of adventure and running races.

The plan so far:

'The Nick Beer Llandudno 10Km memorial race' 10th Feb (completed)

Bewdley 10k March 3rd (completed)

Knowle 8k  May 10th

Blakedown 10k  June 21st (Booked)
