Hey!

In a moment of madness I've decided to run the London Run to the Beat half marathon (13 miles!) - this decision has been made two weeks before the event which takes place on Sunday 27th September!  Call me stupid, foolish or mad, but I'm also not a runner and am only now starting to 'train'.  As many of you know the closest I get to 'running' is if I'm trying to get to the local threshers before it closes or chasing after Bailey in the park as he pegs it after an unsuspecting cat or small child!

Hopefully my madness will be worthwhile as I'm hoping to raise some cash for St. Matthew's Children's Fund Ethiopia (http://www.smcfethiopia.org/) which promotes the welfare of orphans and vulnerable children, regardless of race or religion, in disadvantaged urban Ethiopian communities through supporting community-led projects and by raising awareness in the UK.
