<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p>
<p>There have been many requests for your money this year involving heroic tasks carried out by many brave colleagues (some of which have been truly amazing) but all of these have been very short term. My challenge is one that will last a lifetime and not just a day or week.</p>
<p>I will stop smoking for life (what is the point of giving up for a while just to start again?) and am using our charity drive as the incentive I need to finally quit this very unhealthy habit! My challenge will begin on Monday 22nd August (which is when I start 2 weeks holiday) and I will be using the time between now and then to decrease my daily intake to virtually zero.</p>
<p>However, I do have surprise that will hopefully encourage you to donate (and hopefully donate BIG!). If I fail in my task I am promising to pay all of the money pledged again, doubling the amount raised for our Charity in way of a forfeit or punishment for being so weak! I realise that you will have to take a leap of faith when I am not at work as you will not be able to check that I have stopped but who would I be kidding if I was secretly smoking when no one was around? I am seriously commited to this as it will raise more money for our fantastic charity, Support Adoption for Pets and will also change my life in a very positive way.</p>
