Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As a lot of you will know, I am taking part in the Dallaglio Cycle Slam in February, 2010. The cycle slam will be starting in Rome and ending in Murrayfield in Edingburugh covering a massive 2800km. I have been chosen to take part in stage 3 which will take me from Paris to Twickenham and covering 410km. The really nice thing for me is that we will be stopping at the Somme in France with some of the brave men and women from the armed forces to pay our respect to the soldiers who's lives have been lost or seriously affected fighting for our country. I started my training on Saturday 17th October and am working extremely hard to build my fitness up. The three Charities that we will be riding to raise money for along with Sport Relief are as follows:

debra, ( Epidermolysis Bullosa). This is a rare genetic disease characterized by the presence of extremely fragile skin and recurrent blister formation, resulting from minor mechanical friction or trauma. An estimated 1 out of every 50,000 births are affected with some type of EB.

Leukememia. I'm sure that most of us know somebody that has been affected one way or another with this terrible disease.

Help for heros. Once again, I'm sure this charity is known by a lot of us now. There was an excellent and very moving paragraph that i read whilst i was reading about Help for Heros. " Its about the blokes. Our men and women of the armed forces. Its about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs. Its about Carl who's jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. Its about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on a stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. Its about Ben, Its about Steven and Andy and Mark. Its about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes, they are our heros. We want to hep our heros."

Im sure you will agree that all of these charities are extremely worth while charities and i am going to train as hard as i can to complete my stage. I need to raise £ 3000.00 to help complete our target of £ 1,000,000.00

I would ask if you could really dig deep and pledge as much as you can, it will be very much appreciated.

Thank You and wish me luck !!!!

Paul.
