Dear everyone,
I am volunteering to cycle from one side of to the other on a huge coast to coast challenge! On the 15 August, after a quick dip of the front wheel of my bike in the Atlantic Ocean on the West Coast of Scotland, I shall start the pedals of fire in motion! The aim is to repeat this symbolic ritual 5 days later in Montrose in the . This trip is over 300kms and covers some of the most challenging mountain ranges in the .
The reason for doing this is to raise money for a Charity which I have been close to for a long time. The Menzies Charitable Trust is trying to regenerate the ancient 18th Century Walled Garden which forms part of in . If I am able to raise funds to help repair this ancient and most beautiful Garden, we will be one step closer to opening the Gardens to the public and bringing back to life what was once described as one of 's most beautiful .
A detailed development plan has already been agreed, and these works are desperately needed to help realise a long ambition of Clan Menzies.
