We provide vital, regular social contact to combat loneliness amongst older people

Story

On September 3 this year, David and Paul will be getting up at a ridiculous hour from Blackheath Common to get on their bikes and get to the Eiffel Tower in four days to raise money for Contact the Elderly.

With an ageing population, more people above the ages of 75 are finding themselves with a declining social network and Contact the Elderly is the only national charity solely dedicated to tackling loneliness and social isolation among older people.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Our training has (almost) begun... we'll put a picture up of the pair of us together soon no doubt very similar to the two chaps above...

Anything you can spare will be going to a very worthy cause.

Thank you very much and we'll send you a snap from under the Eiffel Tower!

Paul and David
