No parent expects to live longer than their child, but for many of the families we support, this is a reality. Julia's House, the Dorset & Wiltshire Children's Hospice charity provides frequent respite care for children and support for their families at home, in the community and at our hospice.

Story

The Slayer is coming out of retirement for a one-off, never to be repeated again, 75 mile charity bike ride in aid of Julia’s House Children’s Hospice!

From the dizzy heights of the boxing world to the streets between London and Brighton, I will now be joining thirteen of my fellow BC Club members as we cycle the 75 mile route on Saturday 24 September.

This all came about as I happily volunteered a couple of years ago for a gentle 14 mile bike ride around the picturesque Dorset countryside, again raising money for Julia’s House, with the same bunch of guys.  This time around, organiser Steve Wells wants to take it up a notch – another 61 miles to be exact – and really test our fitness and endurance.  Being ‘Dad’ of the group (as I’m the most mature), I’m not fazed by the challenge and say bring it on!

I’m now urging you all to please dig deep for this wonderful charity and sponsor me and the rest of the BC boys. Thanks in advance for your
generosity and support.
