Brain Tumour Research is the leading voice of the brain tumour community and focused on finding a cure for all types of brain tumours. We are campaigning to increase the national investment in research to £35 million per year and funding sustainable Centres of Excellence across the UK.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

We are going to take on the National Three Peak Challenge. Which for those that dont know means climbing the three tallest summits in the UK in 24 hours or less (Ben Nevis, Snowdon, Scafell Pike).

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer. Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age... yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

Brain Tumour Research is determined to change this.

They are building a network of experts in sustainable research at dedicated Centres of Excellence whilst influencing the Government and larger cancer charities to invest more nationally.

They are the only national charity in the UK that is dedicated to raising funds for continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours and are a leading voice calling for greater support and action for research into what scientists are calling the last battleground against cancer.

The challenge is being completed In special memory of Gary Hayes.

While here have take a look at Neil's story https://justgiving.com/fundraising/neil-taylor27, a story of Neil's battle so far and all the good things being done to support Brain Tumor Research.
