On 9th September 2012 DK Running Club are taking a Coach full of runners to race the Lake Vyrnwy Half Marathon.

As a running club we thought it would be great to get as many people as possible to raise money for charity for running the race. It doesn’t have to be a lot - every little helps!

The chosen charity is Compton Hospice in Wolverhampton. We would like to raise as much money as possible in memory of Donna Proffitt's dad Tom Wellsbury who sadly passed away earlier this year.

We have started the fundraising with part of the money collected from DK Running Club for the food and drink which should have been used for John Glovers Torchbearer party. However, The Park Tavern decided to donate the costs of food and drink to a charity of our choice as well as a second charity of the pubs choice.

Thank you to everyone for supporting Donna and this worthwhile charity in memory of Tom who was a DK Runners and regularly competed for DK Running Club.
