Paul's Sahara Trek Challenge · 30 October 2015

The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

The Princes Trust is a charity that I have a great respect for and is aligned to my beliefs in helping young people further and better their lives. I previously owned a company which aimed to help young people from all walks of life to develop their current skill sets and help guide them in the right direction. During this time I obtained my IAG qualification in advice and guidance to be able to assist the people I was working with. In the time my company was running, I/ we assisted hundreds of young people between the age of 16 – 24 with improving their key qualifications such as Maths and English along with enrolling them on apprenticeships and finding work placements to assist with their work based learning. This opened my eyes to the lack of support many young people face and started my life-long commitment to support like-minded charities such as the Princes Trust.
