Stirling Scottish Marathon 2017 · 21 May 2017 ·

Around since 1923, SAMH currently operates over 60 services in communities across Scotland. These services together with our national programme work in See Me, respectme, suicide prevention, sport and physical activity; inform our policy and campaign work to influence positive social change.

Story

Last year we sadly lost a close friend and former team-mate, Chris Mitchell. Mitch had a big impact on me when we played at Falkirk together and we became close friends during our 3 years there together. The opportunity to honour him by undertaking my first ever marathon, in his hometown, is going to be worth the pain and I'm sure he will be there encouraging me round.

Any donation you could make would be greatly appreciated and raising awareness for a fantastic charity, The Scottish Association for Mental Health, will go a long way in helping real people overcome wellbeing issues.

I can only thank you in advance.

Paul.
