Story
My name is Jessica and I am 13 years old. I go to Wycliffe Prep School and as part of our final year we are challenged to make a physical impact on the community around us. I have chosen to ride from Lands End to John 'O' Groats with my dad, Paul, as my physical challenge.
When I was eleven l was diagnosed with cyclic vomiting syndrome. l was very ill and it was hard for my mum to look after me as l was at boarding school in Stroud whilst she was at home in Chester. l ended up turning to my grandmother for most of my support.
l can't rememner my grandmother not having Parkinsons, l guess it's just part of her personalty to me, but I do know that it will get worse and when it finally does get worse l want there to be a cure waiting for her.
Your support would mean so much to me, because I know so many people with Parkinsons, not just my grandmother, and there not all old . Nobody wants to shake all the time nobody wants to be waiting for the day that it gets so bad that they can't go on. So please help me try and prevent anyone with Parkinsons to ever have to feel that way again.
