Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am cycling for Robes Project (www.robes.org.uk) because of the fantastic work they do with the homeless providing night shelter in the cold winter months in 23 churches in Lambeth and Southwark. I became involved through my association with the Ace of Clubs, a day centre for the homeless and vulnerable, who are one of the referring agencies introducing homeless people to Robes Project.
I started visiting the Ace of Clubs 6 years ago and became friends with other members who were cyclists, not long after I was able to get myself a bicycle and started cycling every day. I quickly learnt the many benefits of the cycling lifestyle and wanted to share this with fellow users of the Ace of Clubs. I became a volunteer and was one of the founding members of the Ace Bike Club establishing a bicycle workshop to repair bicycles. I have taken part twice in the London to Brighton Bike Ride fundraising for Ace and from this experience I am confident with the exciting challenge of RideLondon 100 raising money for the Robes Project.
