Today (19/11/11) marks a year since we lost Sue. Friends, family and colleagues have all been incredibly supportive and we thank them all. I am struck by how many people still feel Sue's loss and miss her amazing personality. She was quite simply a beautiful person and we all still miss her every day.  Sophie wrote the following poem about it :-

I'm Sending This Message

In dedication to my mum Sue Vlissidis

To my dearest,

I'm sending this message for you and you only,

To tell you I love and I'm feeling so lonely.

I'm sending this message for your eyes alone,

To tell you I miss you and I wish you were home.

I'm sending this message for one purpose so dear,

To tell you that I still shed a tear.

I'm sending this message just to let you know,

You will be with me wherever I go

(Sophie Vlissidis)

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in memory of Sue. To have raised over £5,000 so far is simply amazing and a wonderful tribute to her. Thanks to everyone who has dontated so generously so far and arranged fundraising events such as cake sales at St Annes School.

Sue fought her brain tumour bravely for over 12 months and thanks to modern treatments was well for much of that time. The last weeks of her life were spent in East Cheshire Hospice and we were all so grateful for the amazing care and support she (and we) received. Sue's death was peaceful and dignified and we will always be grateful to the staff and volunteers at the hospice for making this difficult time a little easier to bear.

East Cheshire Hospice is a charity largely funded by donations and we would far rather you remembered Sue with a donation to this superb organisation than any other gesture. Feel free to leave a message or a funny story about Sue aswell.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
