Story
On the 25th May 2013 I will be taking part in an Ultra Marathon, and running the 'London to Brighton Challenge'. This event consists of 100km or 62 miles or running and walking across rugged terrain (approximately 15 hours of running!!!!).
I must admit I don't know why I do these challenges every year, mid-life crisis perhaps. Anyway, this year, a group of us are all aiming to raise as much money as possible for KEEPTHEBEAT' a charity which provides hope and support to the families effected by congenital heart defects.
Recently one of our running friends has experienced first hand the difficulties of having a child with a congenital heart condition. When it is so close to home, we wanted to help in any way we could and raise some money for a good cause. KEEPTHEBEAT have provided our friend and his family much needed help and support to what is a very difficult time. That's why our team of 4 will all be running the 100km together to raise money and awareness for such a worthy cause.
Please dig deep and donate :) Even if you can only spare a few pounds, every little helps and it will have such a massive effect on peoples lives.
Thanks to all for your support!
